Service Times
Sunday morning service: 10.30am
Sunday Service takes place at 10.30am. The Service consists of Prayer, The Singing of Hymns and Psalms, Readings from Scripture, a short Address designed for all ages, and a longer address or sermon, geared to adults, on some aspect of Christian Life. During this later part of the service children may leave for their own activities. The service normally lasts about an hour and is usually followed by tea or coffee and biscuits in the upper hall of the church. Access to this can be by a lift for those who find the stairs difficult. There is usually an opportunity to purchase fairly-traded goods during coffee and a small library is also available.
Mid-week service: weekly at 12.30pm
The mid-week service is usually held every Wednesday at 12.30 pm except on those Wednesdays when there is a lunch-time concert. The service takes place in the South Transept of the church, which can be accessed through the main door of the church, and coffee or tea and biscuits are available from noon. The service consists of a small number of hymns or psalms, a reading from scripture and a meditation or address from the leader. The service is designed to allow a period of calm and reflection during the working week and normally lasts about 30 minutes. It is also available for those who find it difficult to attend normal Sunday services.
Cradle Roll Service
The Cradle Roll Service takes place four times a year in the afternoon and the church invites the children and families on the cradle roll to these services so that parents of young children can meet each other in a simple and informal act of worship. Please see the church calendar for details of the next cradle-roll service
